Dixie
My name is Mike Dixon the name Dixie was given to me by my co-workers many years ago. I have worked in the oil industy since 1978 (graduation from high school). I worked for a couple of contractors early on such as Gary drilling in Bakersfield and a few others. I landed a job with Unocal in 1982 and worked in Bakersfield with them for 10 years. I then transferred to Ventura and put in another 5 years with them before the enviromental communist Democrat, out of touch with reality freaks ran them out of California. I am now with Plains Exploration and Production company.Well now that you know where I'm at politically I won't bother going any further into that. I would like to say that if your not walking your not a true Enviromentalist. My boys are excellent surfers and you can see by the photo at the right where they got their surfing genes from.

About my family
My wife Lori is very greatfull to have me and I her. I have three kids, Michael Jr. 24, Christopher (Chris) 21 and Amy 20. Mike Jr. is currently is working for CD Lyon Construction. Chris is working with a family friend doing construction work. Amy is not working right now but looking for a job and going to school. The boys love to surf (too much) and try to get in the water every day. Mike Jr. is struggling a bit lately (in our opinion) so please keep him in your prayers. Chris has a sweet girlfriend named Stephanie. Amy is not allowed to have any boyfriends.

Other comments
There are many people that are important to me in my life. I will try to include as many of these people on the web site as possible if there is room and if I have the digital pictures. If your picture isn't here yet its cause I don't have one or I haven't had time yet. You know who you are! I love you.
